Location: Quesnel
Position Overview
Environmental Health Officer – Working under the general supervision of the Manager, the officer will carry out a program to protect environmental health, reduce communicable disease and injuries, conduct technical assessments, provide consultative and education services, and ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy and standards.
QualificationsCertified Public Health Inspector required. Completion of a Public Health Inspector practicum is mandatory. Applicants may express interest by sending a request to NHAPra
Responsibilities- Carry out programs to protect environmental health.
- Reduce the incidence of communicable disease, injury and health hazards.
- Perform technical assessments.
- Provide consultative and education services.
- Ensure community development aligns with healthy environmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health legislation, policy and standards.
Shift Rotation / Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Day shift – 08:30 to 16:30.
