Position: Buyer Role at BW Gold Mine
BW Gold is seeking a Buyer to optimize procurement operations at the Blackwater Mine in Prince George, BC. This position focuses on cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Procurement, your primary responsibilities will involve negotiating supplier agreements, processing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Your role will be essential to maintaining safety standards and efficient procurement processes at the mine site, contributing to overall operational success and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and negotiate tenders and quotations

• Oversee purchase order processing and tracking

• Implement safety leadership in procurement practices

• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies

• Update mine teams on procurement processes

Requirements:

• SCMP designation preferred; capital PMAC in process

• 7+ years purchasing experience in the mining sector

• Knowledge of OH&S Act and dangerous goods legislation

• Effective communication and organizational skills

• Capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines
