Casual Facilities Operations Assistant

Location: Burns Lake

Support facility operations and security as a part-time Facilities Assistant. Responsible for maintenance tasks while overseeing evening programs and promoting a positive environment in Burns Lake, BC.

This role involves direct support to the Regional Principal, with a focus on the physical plant, security, and supervision of custodial staff. You will be required to troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and effectively monitor facility usage to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Foster collaboration among evening instructors and students for seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise evening usage of facilities

• Conduct maintenance and troubleshoot systems

• Oversee cleanliness and safety of premises

• Secure facility after use and monitor activations

• Provide necessary supplies for evening courses

Requirements:

• One year of post-secondary training in related areas

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience

• Relevant custodial experience required

• Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification

• Excellent communication and judgment skills
