Position: On-Call Custodian for Schools

The position reports to the School Principal or Department Head and involves routine cleaning tasks within District Buildings. Candidates with a Building Maintenance Certificate or relevant experience are encouraged to apply. The custodial work aims to maintain a safe and pleasant atmosphere for students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mop, sweep, and wax floors across school facilities

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and meal rooms

• Secure windows and doors at the end of shifts

• Change lights and maintain custodial equipment

• Support major cleaning operations during school holidays

Requirements:

• Building Maintenance Certificate or six months of experience

• Ability to perform physical labor and use heavy cleaning equipment

• Basic computer skills for reporting

• Oral and written communication skills in English

• Availability for afternoon or weekend shifts
