On-Call Custodian Schools

Position: On-Call Custodian for Schools
Join the team as an On-Call Custodian supporting school operations from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM and weekends.

Your role will involve essential custodial duties and maintaining a clean environment.

This position reports to the School Principal or Department Head. You will be responsible for routine cleaning, ensuring the security of school facilities, and operating custodial equipment. Expect to collaborate with staff, students, and the public to foster a safe and pleasant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mop, sweep, and wax floors regularly

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and meal rooms

• Lock doors and secure windows post-shift

• Change lights and ensure proper supply replenishment

• Assist other custodial staff as required

Requirements:

• Building Maintenance Certificate or six months relevant experience

• Physical ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment

• Basic computer skills needed

• Strong organizational skills with a focus on confidentiality

• Ability to follow safety instructions and work well individually
