Position: Casual Custodian for Schools
Elevate cleanliness in our schools as a Casual Custodian, working on-call during afternoons and weekends. Ensure security and hygiene in District Buildings while collaborating with a dedicated team.

We are looking for a reliable Casual Custodian to join our school district team. This position involves routine cleaning duties, building security checks, and collaboration with staff and students. Ideal candidates should have a Building Maintenance Certificate or relevant experience in custodial work and possess skills to handle physical labor and heavy cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mop, sweep, and wax floors in the facility

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and meal areas

• Lock doors and secure windows at shift's end

• Dispose of refuse and maintain cleanliness in communal spaces

• Perform major cleaning during school holidays

Requirements:

• Building Maintenance Certificate or six months of experience

• Ability to handle heavy cleaning equipment

• Basic computer skills needed

• Effective organizational skills for workload management

• Strong oral and written communication in English
