* Prince George## Description Omineca is seeking an experienced Red Seal Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication team.

This position is based in our Prince George, BC fabrication facility and involves working with large fabricated assemblies, structural steel, and heavy industrial equipment. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning steel components, operating around overhead cranes, and working safely in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Our CWB-certified fabrication shop designs and builds large-scale structural steel, material handling systems, processing equipment, and custom industrial components for the forestry, pulp and paper, mining, and heavy industrial sectors. * Interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and blueprints.
* Lay out, fit, and assemble large structural steel components and heavy industrial equipment.
* Fabricate conveyors, transfer systems, chutes, hoppers, bins, platforms, support structures, and custom process equipment.
* Ensure assemblies meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards.
* Work closely with welders, machinists, and project teams throughout the fabrication process.
* Operate fabrication equipment including saws, ironworkers, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and other shop machinery.
* Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
* Participate in fit-up inspections and quality control processes.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support quality, efficiency, and safety.## Qualifications
* Red Seal Metal Fabricator (Fitter) Certification.
* 5+ years of experience fitting heavy structural steel and industrial equipment for sawmills, pulp and paper, mining, or industrial processing facilities.
* Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication and engineering drawings.
* Strong understanding of fabrication methods, tolerances, and quality control.
* Experience working safely around large assemblies and lifting equipment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Pride in producing quality work and meeting project deadlines.
* CWB welding certification (FCAW).
* Overhead crane, forklift, and rigging experience.## Additional Info
