Position: REGISTERED NURSE (RN), MED SURG
Location: Vanderhoof

Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team n Hospital.

Provides nursing care according to established standards and administrative policies. This involves assessing physical and psychosocial needs, planning, implementing and documenting the nursing care for an individual patient or groups of patients. Co-ordinates the care of assigned patients and supervises the work activities of assigned non-professional nursing staff.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work::
Days, Nights, 07:30 to 19:30, 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30, 19:30 to 07:30 (rotating)

St. Johns Hospital is a 24 acute-care bed facility. The Hospital serves the communities of Vanderhoof and the Saik’uz First Nation, as well asacting as a referral centre for the surrounding communities of Burns Lake, Fort St. James and Fraser Lake.
The services of St John Hospital include:

• 24/7 Emergency department

• 2 outpatient bays

• Dietician

• Palliative Care

• Oncology Clinic

• Labour and delivery with Caesarean Section capabilities.

• Diagnostic Imaging, including Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy

• Lab including blood transfusion services

• 24/7 OR offering Orthopedic Day Surgery, Plastics, Dental, ENT, Endoscopy, and General Surgery

• Inpatient Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy

• Teaching facility for the University of Northern British Columbia
