Position Summary
Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at University Hospital of Northern BC. This dynamic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast‑paced, team‑based care environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with physicians and emergency nurses, supported by telemedicine tools and flexible scheduling. Advanced certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage CTAS 1 - 5 patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and emergency department nurses to deliver high‑quality emergency care.
- Utilize Power Chart or paper‑based documentation systems.
- Engage with virtual services to support emergency care delivery.
- Contribute to a team‑based approach to emergency medicine.

Salary Range- New Graduate NP - $145,739
- 1 Year Experience - $153,026
- 2 Years Experience - $160,313

Education and Experience
- Completion of BCCNM approved Master's degree level nurse practitioner program.
- Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

- Ability to communicate and collaborate with patients/clients/residents and families about health findings, diagnosis, treatment, self‑care and prognosis.
