The Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for direct patient care at the Yu Be-Yah Clinic in Prince George, including telehealth services. The NP supports the primary care team’s delivery of health promotion programs to individuals and groups in a variety of settings and may include the rural and/or remote areas. The NP will deliver programs and services using a holistic model of care and practice in a culturally respectful and safe manner.

• Provides holistic, culturally informed health care to patients across the lifespan from within a primary care team that may consist of Elders, social workers, nurses, physicians, and allied health care professionals.
• Diagnoses and treats disorders and conditions within the statutory and regulatory standards, limits and conditions of BCCNM and CSFS policies and procedures.
• Monitors ongoing care, orders appropriate screening diagnostic investigations; interprets reports of investigations and analyzes information to monitor progress and plan treatment.
• Provides detailed information to patients about health findings/diagnoses and outcomes and prognoses, possible side effects, aftercare maintenance, or preventative care methods.

• Completion of BCCNM approved master's degree level nurse practitioner program.
• Eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU)
  -Provincial Opioid Addictions Treatment Support Program (POATSP) for prescribing Opioid Agonist Therapy and Prescribed Safe Supply (OAT/PSS), or willing to obtain.
• CPR (level
  
  C).

The target hiring range for this position is $71.3782 to $92.4366 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
