The Opportunity:
  • Provide a range of clinical, concrete and advocacy services to family members with drug and alcohol dependency that are consistent with the family’s values, learning styles, lifestyle, circumstances and culture
  • Collect information from a variety of sources using skills of observation, communication and physical assessment to enable the provision of appropriate nursing care
  • Write timely and accurate reports of relevant assessments and observations including patient and family education and evaluation of nursing care
  • Collaborate with family members and referents in developing intervention goals and service plans
Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU)
    -Provincial Opioid Addictions Treatment Support Program (POATSP) for RN/RPN prescribing Opioid Agonist Therapy, or willing to obtain
  • Current CPR (level

    C) certification
  • RN first Call or Remote Certified practice, or willing to obtain
  • RN Contraception Management certified, or willing to obtain
  • RN Immunization Certification certified, or willing to obtain
  • RN STI/STBBI management certified, or willing to obtain
  • British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDs (BCCfE)- Clinical Education and Training Program, or willing to obtain
  • BCCfE
    - Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PREP) Course, or willing to obtain

Wage Range:

The target hiring range for this position is $45.91 to $59.45 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
