Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team with the Aids Prevention Program.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position is responsible for providing health education and promotion services to targeted individuals and groups to increase their knowledge and promote self-responsibility for health; providing screening, diagnostic, and treatment services to outreach clients in a clinic street environment in an effort to prevent and control STDs and HIV infections and to assess and treat other health conditions;

and performing other related duties.

Days, 08:00 to 19:12 (rotating)

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

• Knowledge of and skills in community development, health promotion, verbal and written communication, adult education, group facilitation, problem solving processes, decision making process, teamwork.
• Class 5 driver’s license – may be required to provide own vehicle for work purposes.
