Position: Registered Nurse (rn), Float

Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, and working at multiple sites as required, this registered nurse position provides Nursing care to patients/clients in the Emergency Room, Outpatient clinic and Home Care areas, according to established NHA policies and procedures.

This position will be required to work at multiple locations as outlined above.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Qualifications
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Minimum of one (1) years' experience in Emergency, Outpost and/or Rural Hospital Nursing.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) and ACLS certification or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
