Licensed Practical Nurse at UHNBC

Join the compassionate nursing team at University Hospital of Northern BC as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This role focuses on delivering patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse who is dedicated to promoting a respectful and civil environment for patients, families, and staff. As an LPN, you will provide essential nursing care to a specific group of patients, documenting interventions and actively participating in care planning. Your independent practitioner skills will be key, as will your ability to recognize when to seek collaborative support from RNs/RPNs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies

• Develop and implement individualized care plans

• Conduct assessments and evaluate patient interventions

• Act as an advocate for patients and residents

• Participate in care conferences and staff orientation

Requirements:

• Graduated from a recognized Practical Nursing program

• Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Current basic cardiac life support certification

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Physical ability to perform nursing duties
