Compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse

Position: Compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse Role
Make a difference in patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. This position focuses on compassionate care and teamwork within a supportive environment.

At UHNBC, we are looking for a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse dedicated to providing quality nursing care. You will work under the guidance of a Program Lead and alongside an interdisciplinary team to help patients meet their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs. Your responsibilities will include developing care plans, conducting assessments, and supporting new staff and students through orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients/residents

• Assist in creating and implementing care plans

• Conduct assessments and evaluate nursing interventions

• Act as an advocate for patients throughout their care

• Document patient information and report incidents appropriately

Requirements:

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program

• Registration with BCCNM as a practicing LPN

• Current basic cardiac life support certification

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting
