Registered Nurse Coordinator, Communicable Disease

Join Northern Health as a caring Registered Nurse Coordinator in the Communicable Disease program. This role emphasizes clinical leadership, policy implementation, and teamwork across diverse health service areas.

As a vital member of the Northern Health team, the Coordinator will support and guide Public Health Resource Nurses and health care providers to ensure effective communicable disease prevention and control. This position requires at least two years of public health nursing experience and knowledge of clinical computer applications. You will also work collaboratively with regional leadership and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership for communicable disease program

• Collaborate with health care providers and public health leaders

• Implement and evaluate disease prevention policies and standards

• Monitor practice standards for quality improvement

• Support the education and training of staff in best practices

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses

• Minimum two years public health nursing experience

• Supervisory experience preferred

• Class 5 driver's license required

• Ability to integrate evidence-based practices
