Emergency Transport Nurse at Northern Health

Become a part of the Northern Emergency Response Team (NERT) as an Emergency Transport Nurse. You will play a key role in transporting critically ill patients while providing vital care during transfers across Northern Health.

Located at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia, this role requires registered nurses with specialized training in critical care and significant related experience. Nurses will utilize their advanced emergency care skills to support patients and ensure quality care during transfers between facilities, making a meaningful impact on patient health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate interfacility transport of seriously ill patients

• Deliver critical care interventions effectively

• Assist in site support for surrounding rural facilities

• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care as needed

• Coordinate closely with BCEHS critical care teams

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing

• Active registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives

• Minimum five years of experience in critical care settings

• Advanced emergency care course completion

• Certifications in PALS and ACLS preferred
