This advanced practice nursing role offers the opportunity to lead, mentor, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while advancing evidence-informed cardiac care across our organization.

Reporting operationally to the Director, Medicine, Perinatal and Children’s Health and professionally to the Director, Professional Practice, the Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cardiac Care provides leadership, clinical expertise, and strategic direction in cardiac nursing practice. The CNS works collaboratively with Clinical Managers, Medical Directors, Clinical Educators, Nurse Clinicians, staff nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support excellence in patient care and service delivery.

• Provide clinical leadership and expert consultation in cardiac nursing practice.
• Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies, standards, and programs.
• Support quality improvement, utilization management, and health system innovation initiatives.
• Promote evidence-informed practice through research, education, and knowledge translation.
• Facilitate integration of care across hospitals and community-based programs.
• Advance nursing practice through mentorship, coaching, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and service quality.
• Support resource planning and strategic program development within Cardiac Care.

Starting salary will be approximately $108,147 to $155,461 annually
, based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Minimum of five (5) years of recent related experience in a health care setting with a focus in cardiac care and progressive leadership experience.
• Canadian Nurses Association certification in cardiac care or membership in related provincial, national, and/or international cardiac care professional associations is preferred.
