As a member of Northern Health, you'll work as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, focusing on delivering comprehensive psychiatric care.
Your role will involve nursing assessments, crisis interventions, and facilitating patient education, all guided by the BCCNM standards. You will also take part in interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient outcomes in mental health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform initial and ongoing mental health assessments
• Implement crisis intervention and manage care plans
• Educate families on health and wellness topics
• Engage in collaborative team discussions for patient care
• Oversee ECT service provision and support
Requirements:
• Must be a licensed nurse registered in BC
• Two years of experience in mental health nursing
• Knowledge of mental health legislation and treatment options
• Proven ability to communicate with diverse audiences
• Physical capability to perform nursing duties
