Discovery Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced HCAInstructor to teach Onsite Lab and Clinical Sites in Prince George Region
. This position offers an opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive instruction.

Rate Range: $34- $45 for LPN (based on years of experience and levels of care)

$40-$60 for RN (based on years of experience and levels of care)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday (8:30am to 5:00pm) Current Instruction hours subject to change depended on class schedule

• Deliver high-quality instruction in clinical settings.
• Execute lesson plans using preset curriculum that aligns with PTIRU compliance (extensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided).
• Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.

• Minimum 2,800 hours of nursing experience, inclusive of either maternity or mental health or Acute Care.
• Current full registration with the BCCNM as an LPN, RN, or RDPN – required.
• Previous instructor experience is an asset.
• Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
• Ability to travel to local sites withing region.

• In a Long-term Care facility in Canada within the last two years, or relevant experience.
