A Day in the Life:

FOREST NURSERY WORKER, THIN

We are currently seeking to fill an existing vacancy on our team.

PRT Red Rock is looking for seasonal Forest Nursery Workers to help with our upcoming tree seedling thinning. If you want a physical, fast-paced outdoor job that makes a positive environmental impact, this is for you! You'll be thinning tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. No experience is needed – we'll provide full training.

Your Role & What You'll Do

You'll work as part of a supportive team, under the guidance of a Nursery Manager. Your main duties will involve:

• Thinning tree seedlings in greenhouses.
• Learning about forest nursery activities.
• Working independently and efficiently.
• Committing to quality and safety in a safe work environment.

What YOU bring to the table

• Reliable transportation and appropriate work attire.
• Good manual dexterity and eyesight.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• A team-oriented personality with a positive attitude.
• A desire to learn and contribute to forest regeneration

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary information: $18.37/HOUR + an additional $0.75 Health & Welfare per straight time hours for the training period, transitioning to piecework with greater earning potential
