Position: Occupational Health Specialist at BC Hydro
Join BC Hydro as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist 2 in Prince George, British Columbia. You will enhance safety procedures and assess compliance while supporting diverse work environments.

In this full-time temporary role, you'll engage deeply with safety standards and risk assessments for various projects. Your expertise will guide employees, contractors, and managers, ensuring adherence to internal safety procedures. Collaborating with other specialists, you will facilitate training and lead safety investigations, all while working towards sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and revise safety procedures and risk assessments

• Act as a safety advisor for employees and contractors

• Assess new safety equipment and compliance

• Develop and update training programs

• Investigate serious safety incidents thoroughly

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Occupational Safety and Health

• 3-4 years of field level safety experience

• Valid BC Driver’s License is essential

• BCH Certified Investigator designation is preferred

• Ability to perform safety sensitive work and pass testing
