Supervisor – West Quesnel Save‑On‑Foods location, Quesnel, BC. Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Open availability required.
Responsibilities- Lead the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
- Support the management team in achieving operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising and front end operations.
- Provide support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
- Support with team‑member‑related initiatives as requested.
- Communicate key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
- Assist the management team with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
- Support with centre‑of‑store inventory as well as department stock‑taking as required.
- Perform all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.
- 2‑4 years of retail experience. Leadership experience is an asset.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Post‑secondary education in a business‑related field is an asset.
- Experience and/or knowledge with achieving sales targets and profitability.
- Financial planning and budgeting.
- Developing and executing merchandising plans.
- Human Resources (recruitment, training, development and coaching).
- Employee relations and knowledge of the collective agreement (if applicable).
- Scheduling.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Loyalty to our leadership competency model through communication, collaboration, initiative and awareness.
- Self‑aware, empathetic, with a high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
- Effective communicator with interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Effective in collaborating with others to achieve business objectives.
