Manager of Behaviour Intervention Services

Reporting to:
Director of Sources North
- Oversees specific aspects of the Behaviour Support Program and Independent Living Skills Program in collaboration with the Director of Sources North.
- Supports staff who provide direct one-to-one assistance to youth in their homes and communities.
- Helps youth develop independent living skills and supports their transition into adulthood.
- Works as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside a Behaviour Consultant and Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills in a team-based environment.
- Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the overall quality of service delivery of the program.
- Providing orientation, training, work direction, and guidance to Youth Care Workers and Behaviour Interventionists both during onboarding and throughout.
- Engage in performance management and coaching.
- Ensuring that clients’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs are being met and directly assists clients in enhancing quality of life and personal life goals.
- Ensure that all OH&S, Policy and Procedures, Accreditation regulations, and all other relevant governing obligations are being adhered to by the program and staff team.
- Reporting on program outcomes annually and actively participating in and leading progressive quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring and adhering to the financial budget within the program.
- Oversee the continual improvement of staff through ongoing professional development and education.
- Maintaining a safe work environment for both staff and service users alike, including following and monitoring all positive behavior support strategies as they apply to clients in service. This includes being confident and familiar with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention material to guide and teach staff effectively in adhering to concepts taught.
- Liaise and maintain professional relationships with parents, clients, community partners, and various other program stakeholders.

- Minimum bachelor’s level of post‑secondary education (preferably in social sciences). Mandatory
- At least 2 years of management experience required. Mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience with neurodivergent children would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Confidence and competence in a leadership role, including directing others and holding others accountable regarding performance and professional conduct.
- High competence levels in clear and concise verbal and written communication, including an excellent skill set in writing and editing reports as well as general communications to various stakeholders such as families, funders, and community partners.
- High proficiency level in using Microsoft Office applications and technology applications in general.
- Willingness to gain Applied Behaviour Analysis knowledge and education is required.
- Effectively communicate professionally, verbally, and written in English.
- Non‑violent Crisis Intervention Training would be an asset.
- Criminal Records check through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Records Review Program. Mandatory
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and driver's abstract. Mandatory
