Position: Cultural Guidance Advisor for Indigenous Students

As the Cultural Advisor, you'll mentor and provide advocacy for Indigenous students, ensuring their cultural needs are met while they transition to post-secondary education. Building relationships with students and community services, you will enhance their safety and well-being through targeted supports and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advocate for the emotional and spiritual well-being of students

• Develop peer support networks among residents

• Coordinate services with various departments for student needs

• Foster community engagement with local Indigenous leaders

• Maintain student confidentiality and integrity

Requirements:

• Relevant education in fields like Counselling or Human Services

• Three years’ experience with Indigenous youth support

• Understanding of post-secondary student challenges

• Proven advocacy and relationship-building skills

• Proficiency in tools like Word and Excel
