This full-time position focuses on supporting youth aged 16-19 as they transition into adulthood. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of health and social issues to provide supervision, direction, and support. Engage in hands-on life-skills training and help connect youth to community resources and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct client support to youth in the program
• Facilitate life skills training essential for self-reliance
• Coordinate community resources for client-centered issues
• Advocate for youth during their transition to independence
• Participate in the on-call crisis response system
Requirements:
• Social Services Diploma or related post-secondary education
• Minimum 2 years' experience with youth or employment training
• Class 5 Driver's Licence required
• Experience with Indigenous communities in a cultural context
• Certifications in First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention preferred
Support at-risk youth in their journey toward independence at the Prince George Native Friendship Centre.
