Make a difference in Burns Lake, BC as a full-time Traveling Guardianship Social Worker with Carrier Sekani Family Services. This role emphasizes cultural responsiveness and partnership within Indigenous communities.

As a full-time social worker, you will develop comprehensive care plans and support children and youth in care. You will collaborate with caregivers and resource workers while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Your work will have meaningful impacts on children’s lives in the context of their culture and community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and complete care plans with input from families

• Support caregivers with monitoring and placement responsibilities

• Assist children with placement and permanency concerns

• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and foster child activities

• Celebrate significant events and oversee related payments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field

• Experience in family service or child welfare environments

• C4 delegation under CFCSA or willingness to obtain

• Strong understanding of Indigenous culture and practices

• Commitment to supporting children, youth, and families
