Family Support Worker

Position: Full-Time Family Support Worker
Make a difference in your community as a Family Support Worker in Prince George and Tsay Keh Dene Nation. This full-time role centers on providing vital support to families, seniors, and youth while offering comprehensive services and resources.

The Family Support Worker will engage in risk assessments, develop care plans, and deliver educational support. You will foster independence among families while addressing issues like generational trauma and child welfare. This impactful role involves coordination of recreational activities for youth and direct assistance to seniors in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments and develop case management plans

• Provide family support services addressing generational trauma

• Facilitate educational and counseling workshops

• Assist with organizing life skills and recreational programs

• Support seniors with personal needs and group activities

Requirements:

• Degree in Human Services or related field preferred

• Two years experience in support service roles

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to travel, including remote locations

• Criminal record clearance and valid driver’s license
