Position: Supported Child Development Worker
Location: Burns Lake

The Opportunity:

Support children with extra support needs to fully participate in the child care setting

Encourage and model social interaction with the child(ren)’s peers

Plan and implement daily activities and experiences to meet goals and objectives

Provide culturally appropriate daily experiences that support and promote the development of all children in the setting

Early Childhood Education Basic and Post Basic Education; or post graduate courses related to child development and special needs (e.g. Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology) with minimum two years’ experience; or

A combination of education and experience may be considered

Basic First Aid Level One

Wage Range:
The target hiring range for this position is $26.4408 to $34.2415 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
