Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Senior Application Developer - Remote
Reporting to the Web Team Lead, Application Development; the Application Developer 3 (Senior Developer) is responsible for maintaining Westerns’ software applications; while providing excellent service to the internal clients; supporting them to achieve their departmental goals.
Your success stems from your ability to effectively analyze and identify best practices for system improvements, planning and implementation. You have the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, who contribute to the overall success of the business.
Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like- Minimum of 7 years of experience
- Participate in mentorship of other developers
- Be the lead to take on challenging duties/issues
- Demonstrate contributions to architectural decisions
- Propose and prototype new tools or frameworks
- Analyze, design, code, test and document low to complex programs to develop applications software
- Develop unit test plans, conduct tests to diagnose and record failures; reporting and documenting results and code revisions
- Create technical documentation in compliance with Software Development Lifecycle; including the development of support documentation for project teams and stakeholders
- Perform applications maintenance and support functions to provide successful resolution
- Lead and assist with system components’ designs and participate in design reviews to improve quality
- Continual self-development regarding knowledge of new/emerging software and hardware technologies, methodologies and products

- Superior multi-tasking skills, in a deadline driven environment
- Computer Science, Information Systems or Programmer education or relevant work experience
- Expert knowledge in Agile Framework, Git Hub Enterprise, and CI/CD pipeline deployments
- Expert knowledge of languages: C#, JavaScript, Type Script, Python, SQL, HTML/CSS, Power Shell
- Test Driven Development practices (TDD) and unit testing using a xUnit type framework in a professional environment
- Frameworks: .NET, ASP.NET MVC, React, Node.js, Angular, jQuery
- Microsoft apps/platforms:
Azure ecosystem, Power-BI, Power Automate, Visual Studio - Previous experience working on own initiative, in support of a team
Hours:
Full Time, Permanent - 37.5 hours/week

Remote, Canada - CST timezone
Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000
