BMO is seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer skilled in Ingenium and COBOL. You will engage with all phases of the software development lifecycle, focusing on detailed coding, testing, and maintenance of applications. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in life insurance applications, enhancing operational efficiency through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write secure and performance-standard code for applications
• Decompose business requirements into design specifications
• Design, test, and maintain applications with COBOL and AS400 CLP
• Conduct detailed code reviews with impactful feedback
• Develop documentation and facilitate final delivery
Requirements:
• 10+ years in IBM AS400 CLP and COBOL
• Development experience in Ingenium versions 5.x – 7.x
• Support experience in life insurance applications
• Knowledge of testing requirements and automation approaches
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
