Location: Quesnel

Dawson Civil is looking to hire a skilled Rock Truck Driver
.

In this role you will be a valued member of , working in a temporary, full-time position of Rock Truck Driver
, reporting to the Project Manager. This position requires an experienced operator to meet company production objectives and work within specified tolerances. Your base location will be Quesnel, BC
. and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
  • Ability to efficiently operate heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and understand survey stakes is considered an asset
  • Operate heavy equipment in a mining environment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance
  • Complete daily hazard assessments, maintenance checklists, etc.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections, and adhere to safety policies

    • WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum one (1) year experience operating articulated truck is considered an asset
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in road construction or mining preferred
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
  • Basic knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements is an asset
  • Ground Disturbance preferred
