Skilled Relief Bus Driver Position

Location: Burns Lake

Join the Burns Lake Bus Shop as a Relief Bus Driver for Route 405. Engage with students while ensuring safe and efficient transport across daily routes.

This position is ideal for drivers with strong skills and experience, looking to support our team until the regular driver returns. Your day will consist of 4 hours, 5 days a week, driving buses, liaising with students and staff, and conducting vehicle maintenance. Applicants must prioritize safety and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate regular and scheduled bus routes

• Communicate with parents, students, and staff members

• Carry out bus inspections and maintenance

• Drive for curricular and extra-curricular activities

• Maintain passenger safety at all times

Requirements:

• High school completion with Dogwood Certificate

• First aid and CPR certification

• Experience in defensive driving or equivalent

• Six months of driving experience with Class 2 license

• Clean driving record and updated driver's abstract
