Position Overview

As Canada’s leading integrated freight, package, and logistics provider, Purolator has been delivering promises for more than 60 years. The AM Sorter role ensures freight is sorted and separated by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Monday to Friday, 2:30 am to 9:00 am (6 hours per day, 30 hours per week guaranteed).

As per collective agreement: starting rate $22.94 per hour with guaranteed annual raises; top rate $29.23 per hour.

Prince George Depot.

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
• Experience with working in a warehouse considered an asset.

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load‑out.
• Load freight into linehaul/cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non‑conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

Proficiency in English is required.
