Casual School Bus Driver in BC

Location: Vanderhoof

Join School District No. 91 as a Casual School Bus Driver in the Vanderhoof area. This critical role ensures safe travel for students on various routes, including curricular and extra-curricular trips.

We are actively seeking applicants for our casual bus driving position with no guaranteed hours. Successful candidates will possess a BC Class 2 Driver’s License and have experience driving larger vehicles year-round. Responsibilities include ensuring passenger safety, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining a friendly rapport with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive school buses on established routes

• Transport students for different activities

• Carry out daily inspections of the bus

• Maintain communication with parents and school staff

• Execute preventative maintenance procedures

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)

• Valid Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement

• First Aid Certificate required

• WHMIS 2015 and safety knowledge needed

• At least 6 months of relevant driving experience

Provide safe transportation for students and engage with the community in Vanderhoof.
