Shuttle & Fleet Operations Support – Prince George

Location: Prince George, BC, with travel to Kwadacha, Tsay Keh Dene, South Hazelton, and other locations as required

Employment Type: Part-Time / Casual

Hourly Rate: $21 - $25 CAD

Schedule: Primarily Thursdays and Fridays, with additional hours as required

Position Overview

Gitxsan Safety Services is seeking a reliable, experienced, and safety-focused Shuttle Driver & Fleet Operations Support team member based in Prince George, BC.

The primary responsibility of this position is to safely transport nursing personnel between Prince George and the remote communities of Kwadacha and Tsay Keh Dene. Travel involves extended driving on highways, Forest Service Roads (FSRs), gravel roads, and remote access roads in varying weather and road conditions.

The regular shuttle schedule is primarily Thursdays and Fridays each week. During colder months and periods of poor flying weather, additional shuttle support may be required on Mondays and Tuesdays when scheduled flights are unable to operate due to weather or other conditions.

The successful candidate will also provide part-time operational support for the Gitxsan Prince George Yard, including vehicle coordination, pickups and deliveries, errands, fleet support, and other general operational duties. Occasional travel to the South Hazelton Yard and other company, client, service, or project locations may be required.

Camp accommodations are provided when overnight stays are required as part of a shuttle assignment.

• Safely transport nurses and other authorized personnel between Prince George, Kwadacha, Tsay Keh Dene, and other approved locations as required.
• Operate company vehicles safely on highways, rural roads, Forest Service Roads, gravel roads, and remote access roads.
• Drive safely in changing and challenging conditions, including snow, ice, rain, reduced visibility, and winter road conditions.
• Adjust driving practices according to road, traffic, visibility, and weather conditions.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report deficiencies or concerns.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, fueled, appropriately equipped, and ready for travel.
