Full-Time Yard Manager

Join Surespan Group as a full-time Yard Manager in Prince George, BC. This role requires a proactive individual skilled in yard management and equipment operation to ensure efficient operations.

As the Yard Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day functions of the yard, ensuring organization, safety, and effective resource allocation. Coordination of shipments and communication with management on equipment readiness will be key. Your strong sense of urgency and organizational prowess will drive the success of yard operations in this hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day yard operations and safety management

• Liaise with the Langley Yard Manager regarding equipment transfers

• Organize and stage inbound and outbound freight shipments

• Ensure machinery is properly prepared for operational needs

• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, as required

Requirements:

• Experience in yard operations or heavy equipment

• Strong organizational and independent problem-solving skills

• Valid Class 5 driver's license required

• Previous supervisory experience preferred

• Familiarity with safety procedures in construction environments
