Library Clerk

Library Clerk – Part-Time (17.5 hrs/week)

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert Campus seeks a part‑time Library Clerk commencing August 3, 2026. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 5: $1,015.00 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

• Daily circulation and reference services
• General maintenance of the library facility in Prince Rupert
• Assist students and the public to find learning materials
• Assist students with laptops and computers
• Shelve books and materials
• Perform word processing, filing, and photocopy tasks

• Grade 12 graduation (preferably some post‑secondary education) along with relevant library experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Colleague, e‑mail)
• Sound knowledge of standard library organization, terminology, and bibliographic skills
• General office skills and familiarity with computers, printers and photocopiers
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with the public, students and other staff members
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure with multiple deadlines and frequent interruptions
