Position: Plant Operator for REEF Terminal Operations
Become a vital part of Alta Gas as a Plant Operator at our REEF Terminal in Prince Rupert, BC. This field-based role emphasizes safety, leadership, and operational excellence in Gas Plant operations.

You will report to the Shift Supervisor and support commissioning activities while managing daily operations at the terminal. With over five years of experience in Gas Plant Operations, you will focus on Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, permit issuance, and VLGC cargo loading. This role promotes collaboration with your team and requires a strong commitment to Alta Gas’ Core Values: safety, integrity, and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion personal safety leadership according to EHS Program

• Ensure compliance with Alta Gas policies and operational standards

• Execute lock-out/tag-out packages and operational procedures

• Train for DeltaV DCS control console operations

• Lead VLGC cargo loading operations and security checks

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 5+ years in Gas Plant or Terminal Operations

• Previous facility start-up and commissioning experience

• 4th Class Power Engineering certification needed

• Strong organizational and communication skills
