Position: REGISTERED NURSE (RN), INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Position Summary
Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.
The Registered Nurse – Emergency/High Acuity, working collaboratively with the interprofessional team, plans and provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care to clients with various complex health care issues, from non-urgent to life threatening to patients in the Emergency & High Acuity departments. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Evenings, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 30-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

• Acute Care

• Internal medicine

• CT scans

• Surgery

• Emergency department

• Extended care

• Pediatrics

• Radiology

• Obstetrics

• Gynecology
Additional services such as Diabetes Education, Healthy Heart and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and other visiting specialists.
