Security Guard

Job Summary

As a Security Guard with Blue Hawk Security, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of various properties and clients across British Columbia. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned locations, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to potential threats. Your vigilance will contribute to maintaining a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

• Monitor assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
• Conduct regular patrols (foot or vehicle) of premises to check for irregularities.
• Respond promptly to alarms, security alerts, and emergency situations.
• Control access to buildings, ensuring only authorized personnel are admitted.
• Provide detailed written reports of incidents and daily activity logs.
• Assist in coordinating emergency procedures, including evacuations when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with site-specific security protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients, employees, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Previous experience in security services, law enforcement, or military preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong observational and reporting skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions during emergencies.
• Valid security license for British Columbia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with security equipment and technology (e.g., CCTV, access control systems).
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Blue Hawk Security provides extensive training and opportunities for advancement within the company, as well as a variety of contracts that allow guards to work in diverse environments such as retail, industrial, and residential sites.

Job Types: Full-time, Part time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
