Join the Specialized Community Services team at Northern Health, where you will serve as a Peer Advocate focused on enhancing the involvement of individuals with substance use experience. This role requires at least two years of relevant experience and encourages participation in harm reduction program development and evaluation within diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engagement of peers in program development

• Monitor and evaluate harm reduction policies

• Provide mentoring to individuals with lived experiences

• Apply knowledge of Indigenous wellness practices

• Assist in community health promotion activities

Requirements:

• Personal experience with mental health/substance use services

• Two years' related experience in social services

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural contexts

• Valid BC Driver's License, if required

• Commitment to ongoing education in relevant fields
