Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

November 2026 UK applicants only – no sponsorship available About the Role We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our specialist education team and make a lasting difference to the lives of our students. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire a love of music, creativity and self-expression while delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.

Working within a supportive and multi-disciplinary environment, you will help students develop confidence, resilience and achieve their full potential both academically and personally. Many of our students have additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated social, emotional and behavioural needs, making this role ideal for a teacher who thrives on building positive relationships and creating meaningful learning experiences. What you will be doing Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons that inspire and motivate students.

Adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and abilities. Monitoring, assessing and reporting on student progress and achievement. Contributing to individual education and behaviour plans to support student development. Creating a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment. Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, families and wider professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Supporting the wider school community and contributing to school improvement initiatives.

Promoting the wellbeing, safeguarding and personal development of every student. About You Holds a recognised teaching qualification and QTS or equivalent required. Has experience planning and delivering high-quality lessons. Is passionate about Music and inspiring young people through creative learning. Can effectively differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs. Has strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

Experience with children within an education setting. SEN experience would be an advantage Remains calm, resilient and adaptable when supporting students with additional needs and challenging behaviours. About Us Red Kite School is an independent special school for up to 60 young people aged 11–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Opened in September 2024, the school is located in the beautiful market town of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire.
