Overview of Responsibilities:
The CSD/IDG Technician is responsible for disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, modifications, and reassembly of CSD components. Technicians perform routine, non-routine, and preventative maintenance on aircraft parts according to FAA and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform work assignments as determined by shop management.
  • Ensure all work complies with approved technical data, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Use appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part.
  • Utilize proper test equipment and perform preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Record information and complete work in accordance with inspection procedures and quality policies.
  • Assist department managers and engineers with developing new repair capabilities.
  • Maintain open communication with managers and team members, sharing both positive and negative updates.
  • Provide timely quotes for units.
  • Maintain personal and shop tools in satisfactory condition.
  • Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
  • Assist in cross-training Tech I personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and possess good interpersonal skills.
    • Understanding of aviation-related fuel systems, methods, and processes.
    • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multi-task efficiently.
    • Meet productivity standards and work quickly.
    • Observe safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
    • Adapt to changing work environments.
    • Be punctual and dependable, following instructions and managing responsibilities.
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Be detail-oriented and organized.
    • Willing to work additional hours as needed.
    • Proficient in Windows and general computer skills.
    • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must provide own tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, multimeters, soldering irons, micrometers, etc.
    • Experience in aircraft manufacturing, installation, repair, or overhaul of aircraft components.
    • Knowledge of aircraft specifications and regulations.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, SRMs, and CMMs.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to read and write English.
    • Minimum 2 years of aerospace industry experience with mechanical aptitude.
    • Ability to troubleshoot processes and equipment.
    • Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours/week as required.
    • Familiarity with MRO production processes.

    Language

    Skills:

    Ability to interpret technical documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with managers, clients, and colleagues.

    Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to perform basic calculations, algebra, and geometry.

    Reasoning

    Skills:

    Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Extended sitting or standing, walking, bending, climbing, and balancing.
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
    • Use of protective equipment as per safety data sheets.
