A leading automotive manufacturer is hiring a Body Equipment Engineer in Princeton, IN (100% onsite): process planning and machine specification, equipment procurement, installation and trial management, quality improvement, and project/schedule/budget control across weld tools, jigs, robotics, and AGV systems for body manufacturing and new-product launch.
What you’ll do- Perform process planning and machine specification creation for body tooling and equipment
- Manage machine and equipment procurement, installation, and trial
- Perform quality analysis, adjustment, and improvement on new equipment
- Support tooling modification and installation projects, including weekend/holiday/shutdown work
- Lead project management, schedule control, and budget control / cost reduction
- Provide manufacturing support and process tracking during launch
- BS degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on automotive or manufacturing engineering experience
- 1 to 2 years of tooling design and procurement (jigs and weld tools)
- 1 to 2 years of automotive or body welding, new equipment procurement, and new product launch
- 1 to 2 years of robotics and AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) experience
