About the role
:
The Director will lead US commercial forecasting, performance reporting, and primary market research to drive impactful decision‑making for Ascendis Pharma's product portfolio.
Key responsibilities
:
- Lead the development and evolution of US patient and revenue forecasting models across the product portfolio, ensuring accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
- Partner with the US Analytics & Commercial Operations team and business units to integrate disparate data sets, analyze market and competitor information, and inform near‑term and long‑term forecasts.
- Design and execute primary and secondary market research initiatives (HCP/payer/patient studies, marketing mix, sales force effectiveness, chart audits, benchmarking).
- Synthesize field feedback into actionable recommendations and integrate these insights into monthly business reviews.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Finance, and IT to maintain accurate data, structured storytelling, and coordinated performance reporting.
- Present forecasting results and insights to senior leadership, providing recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Continuously review and improve forecasting methodologies and processes, applying industry best practices.
Qualifications and experience
:
- 8–12 years of experience in revenue forecasting, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in building long‑range patient‑based forecasting models and trend‑based reconciling.
- Experience designing, executing, and synthesizing primary research (ATU surveys, quantitative and qualitative modalities).
- Excellent data analysis competence and deep understanding of market trends, competitor landscapes, and regulatory changes.
- Proficient communicator; able to present complex insights to senior leadership.
- Proven cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder relationship building.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and adept at identifying risks and opportunities.
- Continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of forecasting best practices.
- Background in US market analysis or forecasting in a biopharma context.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree (MS, MBA) in a quantitative or healthcare discipline strongly preferred.

:
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
Compensation
: $210,000 – $230,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and incentive compensation.
