Job Summary- Power
GADS support, metric tracking, reporting and analysis - Fleet financial and operational metric benchmarking
- Lost Margin Opportunity and Commercial Availability tracking and reporting
- Summarizing and presenting financial and operational data to executive management
- Scope 1 & 2 sustainability support and reporting for the fleet
Job responsibilities require cross‑functional training in Operations Planning & Analysis and Business Management.
Operations Planning & Analysis- Provide monthly Power
GADS support, event tracking and metric reporting - Oversight of monthly Power
GADS close process, including manual imports and validation of data - Upload of Power
GADS data to corresponding ISO and NERC, including seasonal capacity data - Reconciliation of data across multiple systems, including generation data from the Settlements team
- Lead monthly Power
GADS user group call and provide training - Work with Data & Analytics team to ensure accuracy of reliability dashboards
- Calculate, track and report on Lost Margin Opportunity and Commercial Availability
- Utilize multiple data sources to collect, consolidate and analyze plant data and disseminate information to meaningful reports and/or presentations to executive management
- Summarize and present monthly, quarterly, and annual performance metric reporting
- Utilize data sources for ad‑hoc reporting
- Design and implement tools, develop dashboards and visualizations to facilitate the timely communication and reporting of data that leads to more effective and efficient decision making
- Provide the required support for the filing of the 10Q and 10K reports
- Provide the required support for annual Scope 1 and Scope 2 Sustainability reporting
- Hybrid work environment with office opportunities in Houston, Pittsburgh, or Princeton
- Business travel to plant sites and corporate offices will require overnight trips
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution and to achieve project milestones
- BS/BA degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of industry experience with at least 1 year directly related to plant operations or heavy industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Power Point
- Able to pull data from multiple sources and consolidate in a clear and concise format for reporting
- Strong mathematical skills to support data‑driven decision making
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends and create data visualizations
- Attention to detail and ability to reconcile data to verify accuracy
- Fundamental knowledge of how power plants operate
- Proficiency, or willingness to develop proficiency, in Power
BI and dashboard development - Proficiency, or willingness to develop proficiency, in specialized NRG business applications such as Power
SAM, Power
GADS, FPR, UC portal, OSS and SAP - Decision making, problem solving, analytical analysis and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across various functional groups
- Highly organized and able to prioritize deadlines in work‑intensive environments
- Remain focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities and ability to influence others to do the same

Salary RangeBase salary range: $85,680 – $141,360 (location, experience and performance may affect actual salary). In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include annual bonus, short‑ and long‑term incentives, program‑specific awards, and benefits such as medical, vision, dental, 401(k) and flexible spending accounts.
