Application for Lecturer in Effron Center for the Study of America
Princeton University's Effron Center for the Study of America occasionally needs lecturers specializing in American Studies, Asian American Studies, and/or Latino Studies to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) of lecture classes. Application will be accepted in advance should such a need arise. Appointment duty time will depend upon departmental need and student enrollments. Positions in the academic year 2025-26 are expected to begin September 1, 2025, or January 16, 2026, depending on the needs of the Center.
Renewal will be subject to departmental need.
Responsibilities include leading discussion sessions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers.
Qualifications- Advanced degree required.
- Candidates working in the social sciences, environmental humanities, gender and sexuality studies, or comparative race and ethnicity are encouraged to apply.
Preferred qualifications:
experience teaching at the undergraduate level and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
Expected Salary Range: $81,700 - $86,000.
