Location:
Plainsboro, NJ
Hours:
Part Time / 3 days per week; either Mon, Wednesday or Friday or Tue/Thu/Fri. Friday: shift will be 7:30-4 pm or 8-4:30 pm. For the other two shifts, 9 am to 5:30 pm or 10 am to 6:30 pm.
Base pay range: $36.56/hr - $58.30/hr

Physical Therapists are responsible for assisting persons served with medical and functional disabilities attain and restore maximum function through a patient-centered care approach. The physical therapist helps persons served accomplish the treatment plan and use assistive devices by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and daily living tasks.
Responsibilities- Professional Physical Therapy Services
- Confidentiality: maintains standards of confidentiality
- Ethics: delivers care that protects autonomy, dignity, and rights; serves as patient advocate and reports illegal, incompetent and impaired practices
- Professional Practice Evaluation: evaluates one's own practice against professional standards and applicable laws and regulations
- Health Teaching/Health Promotion: provides health teaching appropriate to the situation and the patient's learning needs; documents and evaluates teaching effectiveness
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan after discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers; recommending follow-up programs
- Physical Therapist (Required)
- Licensed in the state of NJ as a Physical Therapist - required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - required
- Master of Arts or Science (Required)
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy - required
- Two to four years working as a Physical Therapist - preferred
