About the role:

The Senior Research Fellow will lead and contribute to high‑quality child health services research within the Population Child Health (PCH) Research Group  position requires an experienced academic with a proven track record of research leadership, publication, grant acquisition and collaboration across disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute research strategy for child health services and health systems.
• Author and co‑author high‑impact publications.
• Apply for and manage competitive research grants, including CIA funding.
• Foster partnerships with clinicians, health services, policymakers and academic partners.
• Mentor students, groups and colleagues.

• PhD in health services research, epidemiology, psychology or a non‑lab‑based child health research field.
• Strong commitment to staying current with disciplinary knowledge and developments.
• Demonstrated track record of high‑quality, high‑impact research outcomes and research leadership.
• Experience in translation/intervention research, especially in child health services, preferred.
• Proven ability to generate CIA grant income.
• Teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration and effective relationship building.
• Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values and relevant policies and guidelines.
• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to relevant training.
